The Learning is Fun Homework Club  operates from 3 – 6 pm on week days.  It is funded through the National Childcare Investment Programme.   The project focuses on educational disadvantage and in particular literacy and numeric learning difficulties. The project supports young people to make a successful transition from Primary to Secondary School whilst also encouraging parental involvement in their children’s education. The homework club also supports and encourages parents who are returning to the work force as children can come to the club straight from school.  Building a relationship with parents is also of particular importance and staff is always on hand to give advice, support and information to parents. Children are also offered a healthy snack on their arrival.
